Podcast: TTT 006 : Behaviour Tips and Tales from Inner City London with Master of the Classroom
16 May 2015
‘Master of the Classroom’ (the alias of my guest) on this latest podcast works as an English teacher in an Inner-city London school. He is an outstanding teacher and manager of classroom behaviour and is also in charge of his school’s literacy programme. Although he has been working in secondary education for the last seven years, he started working with children when he was only sixteen years old after a friend suggested he got a job working with him at a charity called ‘Disability Challenge’. The charity ran summer camps for children with a whole range of disabilities from emotional and behavioural needs. Discussions with the Social Workers that oversaw the scheme led him into other social inclusion projects such as art therapy. Before he began work as a secondary school teacher he also spent a year doing social work overseas with children from depived backgrounds.
